STACEY ABRAMS - "COUNT ON US"

Stacey Abrams and Common wanted to create a video campaign to inspire people to take part in the 2020 Census and see their presence reflected in governance. As Covid had brought production to a halt, Gille was tasked with creating a spot entirely with digital artwork created by Victoria Casanova.

Over the course of a month, Gille and Patrick Lawler worked together to bring life and motion to the campaign video, animating the artwork to coincide with Stacey Abrams and Common's call to action. They utilized 2.5D animation in 3D space to give the artwork dimension and scope, moving from image to image as they came to life.

The video was released by Stacey Abrams and Common in the lead up to the 2020 census in the hopes of getting more people of color to take part int he census and have their voices heard.
