Stephanie Reese

Stephanie Reese is a BAFTA Nominated Production Designer based in Los Angeles, CA. She was born and raised in Portland, Oregon where she studied both visual and performing arts. Stephanie honed her craft at the Multnomah Arts Center, DaVinci Arts Middle School, and the acclaimed Jefferson High School Magnet Arts Program. She spent much of her youth outside of school performing with The Krayon Kids Musical Theater Company, a professional children's theater group based in Oregon City. It was this background in theater that inspired her passion for building and design. 
 
In 2004, Stephanie moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in dance. After spending her early 20's as a professional dancer, instructor,  and burlesque performer, Stephanie returned to practicing visual art mediums. Beginning as a hobby, she shared her projects on social media. Stephanie's work caught the eye of a friend who owned a production company, who suggested Stephanie would likely enjoy and excel in art department. 
 
Shortly after finding her calling on set, she met her husband Tyler who happened to be a Director of Photography. They were fortunate enough to get booked on gigs together, where Tyler gave her a crash course in indie filmmaking. Stephanie quickly began booking projects as a Production Designer, starting with student films and music videos, and eventually progressing to features, series, and commercials. 
 
In addition to working in film, Stephanie is an interactive installation artist - Her first piece "LightPool" debuted at Burning Man in 2019.
