Aaron Grasso
Aaron is a cross-disciplined Director of Photography, Creative Producer, Director and Innovator in the field of Cinema Robotics. His multi-faceted approach to creative and unique combination of skills has made him a valuable asset to some of the most respected brands and artists in the world.
His work has won over two-dozen commercial awards, including the prestigious Telly Award and Hollyshorts Film Festival awards in 2018 for Best Cinematography on the brand film “The Other End of the Earth”, commissioned by The Ritz Carlton. Shortly after, he worked with Emmy-Award winning Comedy Trio "The Lonely Island" on their 2019 Netflix special "The Unathorized Bash Brothers Experience", which led him into a deal with Directorial duo, Lord and Miller, to lens music videos for their HBO Series "Afterparty".
Aaron has made commercials for hundreds of other brands including Honda, Disney, Nike, Old Spice, Capcom, Halotop, Axe and Raytheon. He has also lensed an extensive portfolio of music videos and narrative projects, including the critically-acclaimed feature film "The Wave" starring Justin Long and Directed by Gille Klabin.
Aaron founded Antagonist in early 2018. Shortly after Covid-19 struck and the industry shut down, Aaron and his team, motivated to offer a solution for clients to continue filming, invented a sophisticated, deployable cinema robot - SOLO CINEBOT - which was introduced to the market in June of 2020 and went on to become the choice remote cinema solution for brands and studios on many notable projects including HBO's Last Week Tonight, Dune, Stranger Things and the Golden Globes.
Aaron is passionate about problem solving and visual storytelling and is always seeking to push himself and those he collaborates with in compelling and inventive ways.
